What is the Iraq eVisa?+

The eVisa is an electronic travel authorisation linked to your passport. It lets you enter Iraq for tourism, pilgrimage or business without visiting an embassy or consulate.

How long does processing take?+

Standard processing takes around 72 hours. Priority handling moves your file to the front of our review queue on the same working day for an additional fee.

How long can I stay in Iraq?+

Tourist and pilgrimage eVisas allow a stay of up to 30 days. Business eVisas allow up to 60 days, and multi-entry visas permit 90 days per visit over 12 months.

Which documents do I need?+

A passport valid for at least six months, a recent photograph and a return ticket. Business applicants also need an invitation letter; pilgrimage applicants may need group details.

Which entry points accept the eVisa?+

You may enter through Baghdad, Basra, Najaf or Erbil. The eVisa is valid for single entry unless you hold a multi-entry visa.

Can I get a refund if my visa is refused?+

Government fees are non-refundable once submitted. If we are unable to submit your application, our service fee is refunded in full.

Do I need to print the eVisa?+

We recommend carrying a printed copy, but a digital copy on your phone is also accepted at most entry points.

Can I extend my stay?+

Extensions are handled by the Iraqi residency office after arrival. We can guide you through the process but cannot guarantee approval.
